In the Greater Toronto Area, home sales rose 1.7% in March, but average prices fell 6.7% year-over-year to about $1.02 million. Overbidding declined, with only 6% of neighborhoods seeing homes sell above asking price, the lowest in four years. Single-family homes had more overbidding (14%) than condos (1%). Durham led with 31% above-asking sales, while Halton had 15%. Bidding shifted from Toronto’s east to west end, with some affluent central neighborhoods seeing underbidding.
