Oshawa received applications to amend the local plan, a step intended to facilitate a proposed 483-unit residential project within the city limits.
The lands are generally located north and south of Britannia Avenue East, and east of Grandview Street North, identifying the Oshawa site.
One requested amendment would redesignate part of the draft subdivision plan from low-density residential to Medium Density I Residential for the site in Oshawa.
A second amendment would redesignate another portion of the draft subdivision plan from Medium Density I Residential back to low-density residential in Oshawa.
The proposal would permit 125 single detached homes and 212 street townhouses, replacing the earlier draft-approved mix of 172 detached, 74 semis, and 72 townhouses.
